410B FixInMemory¶
Stub MON 410B (264 decimal) · Mnemonic FIXMEM · Group: Segment Administration (manual section 2.12)
Available from: not known - no compatibility box captured from the manual
Emulation source: src/handlers/mon_410B_FixInMemory.c
Description¶
Fixes a logical segment (either whole or in part) of a user's domain in physical memory. This action is intended to speed up access to the segment and is also useful for segment sharing.
Notes¶
- Version history: M-version added three fix-type values that allow fixing pages possibly above the old 32 Mbyte limit (up to 128 Mbyte) - 3 = fix pages scattered above 32 Mbyte, 4 = fix pages contiguously above 32 Mbyte, 5 = fix pages absolutely above 32 Mbyte (extending the existing types 0/1/2) (ND-860230-7A-EN SINTRAN III - Release Information - M-Version.md:2214-2226).
- Only data segments can be fixed.
Parameters¶
| Name | Type | Direction | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
FixType |
INTEGER | In | 0=scattered (non-contiguous), 1=contiguous (returns address), 2=at given memory address. |
FirstAddr |
INTEGER | In | Starting address within user's domain (32-bit, includes segment number). |
Length |
INTEGER | In | Length of segment to fix in bytes. -1 = fix remaining part. |
ND100Addr |
INTEGER | In/Out | Physical memory address in ND-100 (for FixType 1 or 2). Start of physical page. |
Direction: In = the program supplies the value, Out = the call returns it, In/Out = both.
