Description¶
Place a program or data segment (ND-500/5000 only). Maps a portion of a file (given by name, byte offset and byte size) onto a logical ND-500/5000 segment with the specified logical type and attributes, and returns the segment number. To disconnect the segment again, use MON ClearCapability (MON 424). Equivalent to MON N500M (MON 60) function NEWPLACE (160B). Introduced in the M-version.
Notes¶
- NEW in the M-version (ND-860230-7A-EN section 5.9.1). ND-500/5000 only.
- Equivalent to MON N500M (MON 60) function NEWPLACE (160B). See [[60B]] N500M.
- To disconnect the placed segment, use MON ClearCapability (MON 424).
- ND-500 CALLG convention (7 arguments): CALLG 370000000441B,7,<file name>,<file offset>,<size>,<logical segment number>, <logical type and attributes>,<SINTRAN III shared segment information>, <returned segment number>.
- If logical segment number 0 is specified, the first free segment number is used. The file name uses ND-500/5000 descriptor addressing and must include the file type. File offset and size are in bytes.
