Introduction¶
Diablo has combined the latest in microelectronic technology with its expertise in small, stand-alone terminals to produce the Model 1650/RO. This model features Diablo's field proven Model 1535/WP printer mechanisms and its Universal Interface circuits. The printer produces an output of «word processor» quality which can include two-colour printing and graphics. Selectable options, such as true proportional spacing and right margin justification, plotting, backward printing, and remote diagnostics, further expand the versatility of the unit.
The Cut Sheet Feeder – ND 233 – inserts and stacks automatically ‘cut sheets’ into the Diablo printer or terminal. The unit can be fitted and removed to and from the printer like a Tractor Feed. The printer or terminal need not be modified. After the interface cable is plugged in, the unit can work like with continuous forms. There is no signal transmission between the printer or terminal and the ND 233 (outside of paper-out or error). ND 233 Features¶
- Printing from the extreme top to the extreme bottom of the sheet, if desired
- Installation in any existing Diablo printer or terminal in the field
ND 234 Features¶
- Reduces noise level below 50%
- Lined internally with 2 cm thick sound-absorbing material
- Fan and air valve maintain the temperature at a tolerable level
Sheet Handling Features¶
- Sheet sizes from 9 to 35 cm in length and from 14 to 30 cm in width. Adjustable paper guides allow handling of sheets in any size within the specified measurements.
- Feed tray capacity approximately 200 sheets of 20 pound paper. Simple loading and changing of forms.
- No cassettes. Tolerance levels in paper size can be eliminated by the adjustable paper guides.
- Single sheets may be handled without interrupting the complete job by manual insertion into a single sheet feed chute.
- Thickness of paper 70 to 100 g/m² without adjustment.
- Multi-part forms can be performed under some restrictions.
- Very compact and nice design
