ND 241S DISPLAY TERMINAL VISUAL 200¶
INTRODUCTION¶
The ND 241S is a low cost microprocessor based video display terminal which truly stands above competitive teletype compatible terminals in its price range.
In addition to the most popular features available on competitive terminals, such as numeric pad, upper/lower case, editing, current loop, cursor addressing, columnar and field tab, etc., standard features which set the ND 241S apart and reach the optimum in human engineering and operator comfort include:

Reliability designed into the ND 214S is evidenced by its solid state keyboard, single P.C. Board and self test diagnostics on power up.

Modes of Operation¶
With the standard Norsk Data interfaces, the ND 241S is operated in full duplex mode.
The ND 241S operates in character by character (conversational) mode. Serial asynchronous 110 to 19200 bps switch selectable.

Keyboard¶
Detachable solid state typewriter keyboard. Typamatic repeat, numeric pad, function keys, caps lock.
Keyboard is equipped with palm rest in solid oak.
Code Set¶
Full ASCII code set. 95 ASCII character set (33 not printing codes).
Interface¶
The ND 241S is interfaced to a NORD computer via a 20 mA current loop interface (ND 271, ND 272) or the CCITT V.24 (EIA RS-232C) standard connection via modems and modem interface (ND 702, ND 711). A start/stop character format with two stop bits (11 bit code) is used. Parity bit generation and error detection use even parity. Transmission speed is switch selectable from 110 to 19200 baud.
