Introduction¶
The ND 751 19" modem rack is a cost-effective alternative when many modems are concentrated in one location. The rack can house up to 16 short haul plug-in modems, and one or two power supply units.
ND 752 are plug-in asynchronous modems to fit in the rack.
Much care has been put into power distribution and reliability. When two power supplies (ND 753) are installed, one supply can be the backup for the other, or they can supply half the rack each. Every unit has individual fuses to minimize the risk of a single fault affecting more than one unit. On the front of each unit, there are a number of LED indicators to ease troubleshooting and supervision.

ND 753 Power Supply¶
- .220 V, 50 Hz Power Supply with capacity to supply a fully equipped rack. If redundant supply is needed, a second ND 753 can be installed in the rack.
- LED indicators: + 20 V, - 20 V.
ND 752 Limited Distance Rack-Mounted Modem¶
The ND 752 is an asynchronous modem designed for use over line distances up to 10 km. It meets EIA RS-232C and CCITT V.24/V.28 specifications. The card has full duplex capability, and accepts any transmission rate up to 19.2 kbaud. - LED indicators: Transmit Data Enabled, Carrier, Received Data, Transmitted Data, + 12 V, - 12 V. Occupies one card slot.
